Super-small equals super-cute. A MAJOR understatement for this series. Taking a spin-off from the original Aa! Megami-sama series, Adventures of
Mini-Goddess provides self-contained seven minute bites of sheer lunacy. If anyone can remember the old Warner Bros "Looney Tunes" cartoons,
then this series takes the three goddesses from Aa! Megami-sama and puts them into a chibi-fied environment and we get to see them "let
rip". The episodes invariably parody other genres in all their diversity (e.g. romance, adventure, mecha, monsters, politics, mysteries,
musicals, fortune-telling), you name it, it's there somewhere. Numerous Japanese pop culture references are thown in as well as tongue-in-cheek
references to other anime. Accordingly, the episodes become a bit of a "hit-or-miss" affair where one will have you laughing out loud, and
the next will have you scratching your head. On the visual front: permanent SD action sometimes can become overdone, but it works well in this
situation where the entire series is a parody of the original. Colours are vibrant in most aspects - which goes with the territory for this show.
Character designs are faithful to their original designs, despite being SD-proportioned. The goddesses reflect their original physical
characteristics and Gan-chan exudes the aura of a hapless victim with style and, almost, a permanently resigned look on his face. rnBottom line: this
series is one of the better parodies of an existing franchise with cuteness dished out in buckets. There are no aspects of violence or foul language
preventing the series being able to be viewed by the entire family. Some themes and innuendo (particularly from Urd) may need minor parental guidance,
but these are in no way matters that would make the series unsuitable for children. The series requires little concentration and is ideal for a wet
day to sit back, suspend your belief, and enjoy a light comedy. Highly recommended to put some sparkle and lift one's spirits.

Too hot for eBay!
As I was sorting through items for listing on eBay, I came across some adult product which I couldn't put there. Here is a list of those anime products. Please be aware that you must be over 18 years of age to order any of these items from me! I only have one of each of these. They are available now for immediate delivery.
Blu-ray anime DVDs
For those of you into the latest and greatest technology, here's a list of anime available on Blu-ray in the US and Australia. I will be updating this list about every two months to try to keep it current (last updated May 26, 2011).
The Baron on YouTube
My alter ego, Baron Heinrich von Hosenscheisser 3rd, has decided to start a YouTube channel. Life will not be the same again.
Oz anime permanent price reductions!
The good folks at Madman have announced some permanent price reductions on selected Australian anime titles. Sure, these ones have been around for a while, but saving some money is a good thing, right
Some US anime titles which you might have missed
One of the challenges when you have a web site which contains a lot of titles is that many of the good ones tend to get buried amongst all the dross. I presently have about 1,800 US anime DVDs listed, along with about 900 Australian ones. The following list is non-hentai titles which are not available in Australia, but which I should still be able to get from the US. Happy hunting!
